Each year is the annual Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet. Honestly, I really wasn't looking forward to it for one reason...having to make a cake! This year it was not just ONE, but TWO of them. It was a very stressful day, and a BIG relief after it was over. The boys chose what they wanted to do for their cakes. It was the 100th birthday of Cub Scouting. Kyler wanted to have his be a 100 Lego Cake and Connor just had a cute campfire cake. I found Connor's cake on familyfun.com and it looked pretty easy...well it was cuter on paper. The Cubmaster judges the cakes and gives them an award and then we eat the cakes for dessert. I remember back when Nate was in scouts, how they would have a cake auction. I wish the church would still allow that. I really enjoy my calling as the Wolf Leader and proud of Ky and Connor for their hard work. It won't be long before Hunter is a scout too!
